Kitchen Tech provides a complete, professional foodservice design package. This includes working directly with staff and management to determine flow and function requirements, menu analysis, budget estimates, kitchen equipment layout drawings and schematics, MEP utility load requirements for engineer reference, general notes for mechanical, electrical, plumbing reference, Section 114000 specifications, and itemized equipment list / specification sheets. Kitchen Tech will provide responses to GC RFI’s concerning the commercial kitchen, construction administration, review of foodservice bidder / supplier submittals and drawings, health department plan review submittals and final kitchen completion punch list.
Brian Johnson , Senior Director of Design / Owner:
Brian has over 30 years’ of experience in commercial foodservice equipment design and consulting. He began his career in 1986 at Transamerican Fabrication and Design, generating fabrication shop drawings for clients such as Red Robin, the Broadmoor Hotel, General Dynamics, Hilton, Hyatt and ARAMARK. This early “hands on” experience in equipment design, ultimately lead to a successful career in foodservice design. His designs cover the spectrum, from small warming kitchens to full production kitchens and bakeries, serving over 1500 people per day. He has successfully designed kitchens and serveries ranging from traditional cafeterias to the increasingly popular multi point self-service and “grab and go” style service. Integrating tried and true design practices while developing creative new ideas and concepts, creates truly functional and enduring kitchen designs. Brian understands each kitchen must be designed with function, flow and efficiency as its highest priority. Brian’s unique history in food service equipment ensures his designs will function beyond the client’s expectations.
